About Llubí
Llubí is a little village located in the central area of Mallorca in the region known as Pla de Mallorca, 40 kilometers from the Balearic capital, Palma de Mallorca.
It is famous for its capers, with its landscape of almond and carob trees.
It celebrates its patron saint festivities, those of San Félix, every August 1, the Fiestas de la Ermita on the first Tuesday after Santa Catalina.
Llubí comes from the Roman toponym Castro-lupino, which led to Castell Llubí, near a prehistoric Talayotic town fortified with a cyclopean wall.
